Newbies imastacy Posted December 20, 2006 Newbies Posted December 20, 2006 I am a new user of Filemaker 7. I have a pre-defined database that includes names and email addresses. Will someone please be kind enough to tell me how to print out a list that contains (only) these two tables? My attempts have resulted in a long, horizontal table that includes many, many different fields that don't even make it to the printer. I don't want a spreadsheet. I just want a simple list printed on standard paper. Thanks, I'm an idiot.
mr_vodka Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I am assuming that the two tables are related to each other through some kind of key field. If this is the case, you can create a new layout (columnar list /report: show records from names table). On the specify fields part of the wizard, select the name field, and then under the pulldown menu where it should say 'Current Table "names"), there will be an option for the related emails table. Upon selecting that, you will see a list of all the fields in that table. Pick the email address field. Then you can pick a default sort order if you would like and then finish up the rest of the wizard. Hope this helps.
