I need to use port 8080 instead of port 80. I changed ports in the OS X webserver httpd.conf file and now when I try to access filemaker using the php api I get the following error:

Error: Unknown error

Message: Communication Error: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

IWP works fine.

Any ideas?

There was a similar problem defined at the FM PHP API forum and to answer in short - the solution seems to be to reinstall the Instant Web Publishing engine... This seems to be the solution for any http 404 error.

While the reason is not known, it seems to be that a part of the config dealing with the XML interface (which the API uses) is corrupted when swapping ports around and there appears to be no other way of fixing that part of the config short of reinstalling the engine.

Hope this helps, but good luck either way!
