If I remember correctly, there is no BACK button functionality in the Web Viewer right? Is there anyway to program one?

Also, if not, what about being able to create a button that will refresh the original URL set for the web viewer on a given record?

Thanks

Hello Bulletproof,

To access back button capabilities for a web viewer, you should attach a button to the Set Web Viewer[ ] command, enter the object name of the viewer you wish to control and select the "Go Back" option from the drop down list of actions. :wink2:

Try Set Web Viewer [Action: Go Back]

Thanks for the tips guys - but it's not working for some reason. I'm a novice, so please bear with me. Here's my set-up:

I have set-up a sort of mock web browser. At the top of the page I have a field where I can enter a URL called "IMDB LINK" (I'm loading IMDb pages). Right below that I have a Web Viewer that is set to load the URL that is typed into the above field.

I create a new BACK button next to the URL field, go to its BUTTON SETUP, select "Set Web Viewer", click "Specify..." and then choose the IMDB LINK option, then choose GO BACK from the ACTION menu.

But no luck... it does nothing when I click a link anywhere in the web viewer and then try clicking my new "BACK" button.

thoughts?

Thanks

As Ray stated you have to:

enter the object name of the viewer you wish to control

You have to assign a name to the WebViewer object first. You can do this by going to layout mode and then 'View' --> 'Object Info'. Select the web viewer and give it a name in the Object Info pallette. Reference that name in the Set Web Viewer script.
