Jarvis Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Is there a way to script a FIND then delete just the records in the FOUND set? I am using SET VARIABLE command as the criteria for my find. I have been able to get to the scripted find okay but I can't seem to delete just the found set. My options seem to be to delete just one record or all the records. Any ideas how to (via script) delete just the found set? Thanks, Jarvis
LaRetta Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Hi Jarvis, "My options seem to be to delete just one record or all the records." Correct. But the 'Delete All Records' always only applies to the found set. LaRetta
Jarvis Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 LaRetta, That winking emoticon you used ought to also say "bonehead"! Thank you once again, Jarvis
LaRetta Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Nah. Delete All Records can be concerning because it offers no explanation. It's in Help clearly but not in ScriptMaker. And it shows you message (when Error Capture is off) before the delete. No bonehead at all.
Lee Smith Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I would only add to what LaRetta has stated, that this is one Script Step that you need to be really sure that what it is going to do, is what you want it to do, because there is no Undo. Lee
