Hi

I am trying to find a clever way of allowing a user to select from a list, multiple products, these will then be entered into a quote automatically for them. I have scripted this and it works well, but my problem is that the product list is available to all users, the box that is checked in each product record is a normal field and therefore two users could be checking (or unchecking) these fields if they were both trying to prepare a quote at the same time.

What I really want is a field that will store for each record but work much like a global field storing the data for that session and for each user.

I hope this makes sense - has anyone got any clever work arounds or method by which I could link it to the user doing the 'checking'.

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks

See if you can adapt the demo posted here to your needs.

comment, I know this wasn't your file at first, but I'm wondering something. The post you linked to had something I really want to use (select items from a valuelist and have them appear in a separate field). My question, though: do you know if it's possible to make it so one item in a list can be selected more than once and appear twice or more in the other field?

Dang, I actually had a second question regarding it. Is it possible to deselect items from the list from the referenced field instead of the original checkbox list? (I should probably just start a new thread about this...)
