Greg O'Connor Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hi all. I am new to the list and may ask some questions. I want to create pdf with FMP 8.5 and save them automatically with a custom name (from a field) to a certain folder (path from field). Can I do it with FMP8.5 or do I need an additional plugin? If yes, what plugin is recommended? Thanks a lot Greg
mr_vodka Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Hello, and welcome to the forums. There are many posts on here regarding this subject. If you go to the search button and type +pdf +path, there will be a whole bunch of results. Here is a link to one of them. Link
Greg O'Connor Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 (edited) Very kind of you Mr. Vodka. However, there a thausands of answers to browse... back to my question: Is there somebody on the list who knows the answer to my question? Thanks Greg Edited January 18, 2007 by Guest
mr_vodka Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Very kind of you Mr. Vodka. However, there a thausands of answers to browse... back to my question: Is there somebody on the list who knows the answer to my question? Thanks Greg Well I am a little disappointed with your response. Not only did you ignore a link I gave to a thread that pretty much discusses exactly what you were looking for, but you ask for others to give you answers to questions without even making an effort yourself. I could understand as a newbie to ask a question without prior searching, but your reponse saying that basically there were too many posts to browse through and because of that you didnt want to make the effort is just plain lazy. If you dont even bother making an effort to learn it on your own, why should we bother making an effort in helping you?? Shame on you for being lazy.
mr_vodka Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 This post has got me so fumed. In all of my years of being on this forum, I have tried my best to help others, be patient, and have never flamed anyone. Congrats on being the first.
Lee Smith Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I hope this is a language thing, and you didn't mean it the way it came out! In the mean time, please read this. How to Post Link
Greg O'Connor Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 My sincere apologies for my post. I did not want any body to be disappointed. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I have been searching a number of forums for hours before I posted the query. However this is no excuse for any offense caused. Thanks Lee and John for the link. Greg
Greg O'Connor Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 I have now followed the link you supplied. (I did not see the link before). It has provided me with some good answers. Thanks for this and again my apologies for my unfriendly post. Thanks Greg
mr_vodka Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Greg, Apology accepted. These forums are a great tool and asset for experienced developers as well as novices that are only dabbling in FM for their personal use. They are invaluable. While we are all here to learn and give back to others, one can only successfully learn by trying to learn it themselves, with the forums as a tool assistant. I was upset because your post had pretty much dismissed my post and was basically like, yeah yeah I dont feel like searching for it. Ok next. Who can answer my question. We on these forums obviously do not get paid to take the time and answer post on here, but rather we try to help each other out as much as possible. I was offended by the brush off. Anyway, thats old news now so again welcome to the forums.
