January 20, 200719 yr I have the filemaker Re-LogIn script step at the start of my script. If I press cancel the script still finishes. I have tried putting in a condition. If "get last message choice" = 1 (or in fact 2) to halt the script. But it does not seem to work. Why can I not halt the scirpt if the log in fields are empty? Or is there a condition that will know if the "cancel" button has been pressed on the standard login function?? There must be a way???
January 20, 200719 yr I'm not familiar in the least with V6. Do you have a script debugger? It souds to me like your criteria is not meeting your condition to halt the script. Have you tried inserting a custom dialog inside your condition to make sure it's making it inside? I'm fairly new to FileMaker so take any reccomendation I might have with caution. Mel
January 20, 200719 yr Ben You need to adjust your profile as your still showing v6. The Re-Login script step didn't appear until after v6. Try this: Allow User Abort [OFF} Re-Login[] If Get ( LastError ) > 0 #DO YOUR FAILURE HERE End If Thye only reason that re-login will provide an error code is if the user cancels the login, otherwise the login system is in control and must have a valid account name/password before proceeding.
January 21, 200719 yr Author Excellent that works a treat. I have been trying to change to V8 adv in my profile but can't seem to find my settings (ON FMFORUMS) in order to do so?? I can only change the post... when I remember
