You know how you can click an icon and click on a calendar, is there a feature in File Maker where you can use a calculator? Or do you have to build one from scratch using scripts? What the best and easiest way to handle it? I log in receipts and sometimes I have to calculate out certain line items from the total receipt. Please advise.

There is nothing native in FM to bring up the calculator. Geez we barely just got the popup calendar feature. B)-)

You may be able to bring up the windows calculator with some VB script or you can try and take a look at this to possibly incorporate into your solution.

You can define your field to auto-enter (replacing existing value) a calculation =

Evaluate ( Yourfield )

This will enable you to enter formulae like "5+8+12" or "3*15" etc. and have them calculated on exiting the field.
