Baylah Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 http://www.databasepros.com/videos.html This is for a product by John Mark Osborne who wrote the Scriptology books. His stuff is great, you can;t go wrong. Steve
Lee Smith Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Check out ISO FileMaker Magazine for some Free and Subscriber videos (and demostration files). HTH Lee
jeffmcg Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 Yes I can see that his tutorials must be helful, but i feel that the instructions which are given in the apple format might be confusing when i try to apply it to regular windows. Any thoughts on that?
Lee Smith Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I believe that he is primarily a Window person, but it does not effect what you will learn, as FileMaker is cross platform. Lee
Genx Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Yeah, the FileMaker interface is pretty much the same on both Windows and Mac. They differ only in that you shouldn't develop in multiple windows in Windows (annoying restore issues) and a couple of minor script steps that are platform specific e.g. "Send Applescript" I've learned a lot off John's site, everything he teaches is applicable to Windows, he just prefers the look of Mac as far as i can tell.
