Sorting by related field using custom List

Featured Replies

I am trying to sort by a related field using a custom list. Can someone help me with the Syntax?

FMPro?-DB=Data.fp5&-Format=format.html&-max=

100&-Lay=Layout1&Dept=Dept1&Done=no

&-sortfield=Campaign&-sortorder=custom=Month&-Find

Any help would be great

Thanks

Got it. I used the Script.Presort to sort and then used the -find to perform the find. Seems to work so far.

Log from another machine to your sorted db, perform find action and you will loose everything from first guest.

The only thing what works reliably is find and sort supplied through URL or FORM.

WebCompanion is generally speaking single user machine.

My web companion is a single user machine. Could you explain further I don't understand your comments.

Will more visitors visit the pages or just one?

If only one, then scripting is safe.

If more than one, the scripts running on request of first visitor will be cancelled or stalled by next visitor...

Ok, I get it. Knowing that, how do I now do a sort using a related field and a custom ValueList with a form or action tag I don't care which.
