djc728 Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Hello: I'm looking for the best way to get a set of records. I have a table A with a many to one relationship to table B. After I search on Table A I have 2 records. I want to loop thru the Table A records and get all the related records from Table B so I can process them. What would be the best way to do this? I'm thinking I will need to use a "find extend"? I'm just confused as to the usual standard type commands to make this work?
Fitch Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 With FileMaker 8 you are in luck. You can use GTRR (Go to related records) and in the GTRR options choose Show only related/Match all records in current found set.
djc728 Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 Thank you. I'm still getting used to the new commands and coming from 4D world -- I really need to get my mind in a Filemaker mode. Thanks. I forgot about the GTRR command.
