Macfreq Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Can a relationship be based on a calculated field? I'm trying to use a relationship like a find and use it in a calculated field to give me a total. Specifically I'm trying to get a total amount of a product from a list of orders after a date, the date is a calc field. So far the relationship is not working, but I just want to be sure if it is even possible.
bcooney Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 you cannot use unstored calc fields in the many side of a relationship.
Macfreq Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Thanks, I didn't think it would work. But I'll come up with an alternate solution.
Fenton Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 It is likely the date field. The date you're targetting needs to be stored. It should not have Get (CurrentDate) in it, or in anything it depends on.
