I was just testing it. Why would I want to? I didn't say I did. I just liked it and wanted to see what value it might have in FM. Of course I can create another layout with the field flipped (for display). It's just that ... when I find something I like, I can't help but try to find more places I might use it. July 8, 200718 yr I can paste it into a field - if I paste it into a text editor first, then copy it from there. I suppose this could come in handy if Tom Cruise wanted to type something while hanging from the ceiling?
July 8, 200718 yr Author Ah, funnnny! Well, I was thinking about wanting to print something onto one page which can be folded to create a 2-sided document or letters that wrap around a picture (funky but I've seen it). Of course we can just create a layout with the text Arrange > Rotated but that's not as dynamic as this could have been. I will keep that in mind about dumping into text editor first; that could be handy information. I'm doing it simply for fun, I guess. For anyone interested, I found it here and it tickled me. Yes, I'm a strange sort but I'm still chuckling over it. L
July 8, 200718 yr Well, rotating would be better, since this method is rather limited in choice of characters (e.g. no caps). Basically it's just a Substitute(), and some of the substituted characters are a stretch. Anyway, it's fun for me, because that's how I first learned to read.
July 8, 200718 yr Hey LaRetta, I saw this on Digg a few days ago. It's fun. It is probably useful for discussing topics with Genx who is upside down in Australia xuǝƃ ollǝɥ
July 8, 200718 yr Author Oh, how appropriate, Stuart! I'm still trying to envision how someone could learn to read using this method. All I can come up with is the vision of a very small child standing inside a store looking out a store window with lettering on it but that wouldn't be upside down only reversed. Reversed is easy for me to read - unside down isn't! Hey Michael, please explain! Were you hung in a tree while studying? It makes me feel dizzy when considering text flipping like this, hence the (off) added for emphasis. It's probably a result of my limited life knowledge. :yep: Edited July 8, 200718 yr by Guest
July 8, 200718 yr Author Oh! Someone reading a book to you and you watching the book from across the table as they did! Right? Right? Puzzles - I love 'em!
July 8, 200718 yr Author Thanks! My mind wouldn't stop trying to come up with methods! Now I can rest. :king:
July 9, 200718 yr Hey LaRetta: for us Aussies, that's the first bit of text we've been able to read without turning our heads around!

July 24, 200718 yr Hi LaRetta, Was feeling a bit bored so here is a little present. It works on OS X + 8.5 Hope it works for you, although i still see no application for it myself other than a bit of fun. :) d__l__.fp7.zip
July 26, 200718 yr Author Hey Stuart I SHALL have fun with it because ... well, because I'm strange! And one never knows when/where a need will arise for something strange so everything lands in my toolkit and never disappears. Thank you! :smile2:
