Jerry Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I currently have a db of about 6000 teachers who are in a statewide program. I also webmaster a static html website which contains contact info, resources, etc. All of this is on a Windows IIS server with WinServ2003, and FMSA7. What I want to do is convert the website to a dynamic php site which will use the database to create customized pages geared to each teacher who logs on, with just the resources they are trained to use. It looks like this would be pretty easy in FMStudio. Am I right or would FXforge be more suitable. Also, I want to incorporate blogging and wiki creation into the site as well. I've been searching for Filemaker-based blog and wiki solutions but haven't found any--are there any available? Thanks,
Kiwi Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Have a look at http://moodle.com/ and http://joomla.org/ Both are free open source CMS systems using PHP and MYSQL. You can use Filemaker but why re-invent the wheel? Moodle is designed more as a course managent system but can be added to. Cheers JB
