xtrim Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Hi, I tried all the techniques (with conditional formating and without)... SO...I guess it is not possible? but whyyy?
comment Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 It's not possible to format an individual portal row as such - either conditionally or otherwise. But you can format an object (field, text or web-viewer) placed IN a portal row, and use that as the background for the portal row.
Asda Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Don't think you can highlight rows in table view. Instead try List view and this thread: http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/188674/
xtrim Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 Hi, I am confused... portal row is the same as table row (table view)?? I don't think so...
comment Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Oh, you meant a table view... I guess I still don't understand your question. Conditional formatting DOES work in table view. But, in table view, only FIELDS are shown in the body part. If all fields in the body part are conditionally formatted using the same formula, you WILL get a highlighting effect. Conversely, any buttons in the body part will NOT be shown in table view. Even fields formatted as buttons will not respond to clicking. Therefore you cannot highlight a row by clicking on it. You can, however, toggle the highlight status of a row by selecting it and running a script from a button in the header/footer, or from the script menu/keyboard shortcut. You can also have the active FIELD automatically highlighted using the technique described here: http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/189537/
