Dr. Evil Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Is it possible to center content in FMP window similar to website behavior? I am interested in making database to... ...If user moves or resizes window, content will re-center itself. Maybe this feature is web based only? Thank you for any help and tips on this topic! ;)
Ocean West Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 yup... http://www.briandunning.com/cf/376 http://www.briandunning.com/cf/375 http://www.briandunning.com/cf/448 If you want to test on someone MOVING or resizing there is a technique where the use of a WebViewer can set a variable which in turns uses ZippScript to trigger a re center script. http://www.filemakermagazine.com/videos/field-entry-script-triggers.html
Dr. Evil Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Am I reading you wrong? I do not want automated window sizing. I want content to be centered in window at all times, even if user adjust the window size. Like a typical website behaves: http://www.apple.com/ ... as you see w/ apples site, you can move and adjust window and contend will stay center. Forgive me if I have misunderstood your reply. THANKS!
comment Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 It's sort of possible in version 9, with the new auto-resize feature. See the last example in Help > Editing objects on layouts > Selecting and working with objects on a layout > Setting auto-resize options for layout objects.
Dr. Evil Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks Comment! I knew I saw this feature in a demo somewhere, just did not remember what it was called. ;)
Bozkid Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Do the following: 1. On your layout, group the various objects. 2. Select the new object that results and in the object info window unmark all the autoresize checkboxes. That's all there is to it. Hope this helps!
