wireshop Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 How do you script "go to layout" in a different file? Thanks in advance
_henry_ Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 hello Wireshop, One of the idea is I would duplicate the layout on my Current File and link the "different file" to the current file (with relationship) and you can browse the records on the Duplicate Layout on the current file. Do you get the idea?
Raybaudi Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 ... another idea is to place an occurrence of your "different file" in your Current File's Table of Relationship and to relate it with "X" operator. Than the scrpt step is: Go to Related Record [ From table: "different file" ; External ; Using layout: "different file's layout" ; New window ]
Lee Smith Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Another way is to Create a File Reference to "Other File" Menu >> Manage >> External Data Sources Click New Click Add File find the file and click on it click okay out of the menus. Create the script "Go To Layout" in "Other File" Next, create a Script in your Current File and use these two steps Open File (Other file) Perform Script "Go to Layout" , use the File Reference you created above.
