Carri Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Lables have attached themselves to the tabs of the tab control and everytime I try click them in layout mode to delete them the tab control changes to the page to the one I clicked. How do I delete these lables? How they got stuck: I have a layout with lables and fields on the top 3rd of the page and a Tab control on the bottom. I dragged the tab control to high (over the fields and lables at the top)and when I moved the tab control back down all the lables on top stuck to the tab control??? Does this always happen in FM? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks
LaRetta Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Hi Carri, Yep, it can take a bit getting used to ... Holding down your left mouse, begin outside of the tab (away from all objects). Drag down and around the label until the handles of it are highlighted. Then use your arrow keys to move it away from the tab. You can also use your Object Info box to move it instead of your arrows. Select View > Object Info. Since the label's handles are selected, the figures in Object Info box show the label's location on the page. Click the 'in' and it will toggle between IN, CM and PX. When it is on px, the top number says the distance of the label from the left side of the page; the next number says distance from top of page; next says distance from right edge and last is distance from bottom. You will move an object by simply changing a number. If you change the second box to 150 px less (for instance), the label will jump up above the tab by 150 px. Using Object Info is a great thing to learn and is extremely powerful for working within layouts. After you change a number, tab or enter out of it for it to change. LaRetta
