Sr. Database Developer/Project Associate Position

Colibri Solutions, a technology and management consulting group, seeks an energetic and versatile professional to work on multiple projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a full-time staff position based in New York City with travel to local and regional clients as required.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a project team to provide technical consulting services to our clients.

• Develop project specifications for new database solutions.

• Program user interface, business logic and backend databases for new and existing solutions.

• Provide ongoing client training and support.

• Continuously expand your technical knowledge and share it with other team members.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years relevant experience including data modeling, database development, process consulting and project management.

• Required database knowledge: SQL (MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle), FileMaker Pro (version 8 certification highly desirable but not required).

• Other technical experience (one of more of the following is highly desirable but not required): PHP, ASP, HTML, Java, XML, Perl, Web 2.0 (Ajax, Flex, Ruby, Rails), C/C+, .Net.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, self-organization, and judgement.

• Strong oral and written communications skills.

• An enthusiastic and inquisitive nature.

• Experience working directly with clients a plus.
