Pre1.com LLC, the developer of SmartPublisher, an integrated publishing system for newspapers and magazines, has an immediate opening for an intermediate-level FileMaker developer to join our development team. A desired candidate should be passionate about delivering top-notch FileMaker based database solutions, interested in working in a team environment, and willing to push their limits to learn.

Pre1 is one of thirty FileMaker Business Alliance Platinum Members with a team of three FileMaker 8 Certified developers. We offer a competitive salary with vacation plan and benefits. Compensation will be based on experience.

Strong candidates must have the following:

- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

- Two years or more of experience developing databases in FileMaker version 7 or higher.

- Comfortable developing and deploying large multi-user solutions.

- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

- Experience working in a professional atmosphere.

- Self-motivated team player.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience working on both Macintosh and Windows platforms.

- Familiarity with SQL and database modeling concepts.

- Strong attention to detail.

Other desired experience/background:

- FileMaker 7 or 8 Certification.

- Vertical market or shrink-wrap solution design experience a plus.

- Experience with sales CRM, accounting, and/or business dynamics.

- Experience designing dynamic publishing solutions using FileMaker Pro and Xtags.

- Strong skills in User Interface Design.

- Experience with FileMaker plug-ins.

- Experience with QuarkXpress/InDesign.
