I noticed that I can't use "copy" to get information into the clipboard with merge fields. Is there a way to do that? I wish I could capture a client's name and entire address (which are in 3 different fields) into the clipboard so I could paste it into other programs. Any one know? Thanks.

Create a calc field, Addr_Full_c, that concatenates all the fields that you need with the carriage returns and copy that.

that did it! As a matter fact, I wrote a script with it already that made my envelope printing must easier. thanks a million.

Are you printing from FileMaker?

If so, you can create a label layout, using one of the many common labels, and there is also one for creating an envelope. Go to Layout Mode, Create New layout, and check out the options.

If not, then you should check out the export options, and use the other programs ability to merge documents.
