fields showing on all tab controls

Featured Replies

Hello there

This is probably a really silly question but I have just started trying to work with tabs

I have two tab controls on a layout. Any field I enter on the front tab shows up on the second tab when the layout is put back into entry mode. Can someone tell me why this happens and how I can change it - I want half the fields on one tab and half on the other

perhaps the field is overlapping the tab panel? they must be entirely within its boundaries.

Hi

Thanks for the reply

They are all within the boundaries.

Basically all the fields placed on the first panel show up on the underlying panel - it looks OK in layout mode but doesn't work in data entry mode

Hi,

I had this same problem and it was driving me crazy. I was hoping your post would have the solution. Unfortunately, it did not. Although, I did find the solution for my problem that may also apply to yours. If the tab item crosses the header and the main body of the layout one will see all fields in every tab in browse mode. In layout mode the fields are aligned with the correct tabs. Hope this helps.

Hi

That has cracked it

The tabs must be completely in the body of the layout.

Seems obvious now - it was working correctly and then I managed to move the tabs so that they were just touching the header line.

Thanks to stranger and crazy eye for taking the trouble to reply
