whun450 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Hello all, I'm stuck on something. I have a container that has a simple sound file (recorded in filemaker). I can play it by double clicking it the container but I'd like to get it to play by use of script. It seems like it should be possible but I can't get it to work with a script. Any ideas? Thanks, William
comment Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Go to Field [ Select/perform ; Table::ContainerField ]
whun450 Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Oops, forgot to select perform : Thanks so much for your help, Comment!
Mike J Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Hey Comment, Any way to script insert sound into the container?
comment Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 What do you mean by "insert sound"? If the field is empty, it will go into recording. If it contains a sound, it will play - same as a manual double-click.
Newbies ycteo Posted May 6, 2009 Newbies Posted May 6, 2009 I have success to play sound with script, but it is no effect after I converted my fm file into runtime application (enable kiosk mode for non-admin account). Anybody know the reason? How do I resolve this problem?
aquaman Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Better yet, how do you get the sound to play without popping up an external player like Windows Media Player or iTunes? This is really screwing up our application currently in development because we MUST have alert sounds for a barcode scanning function. I have looked everywhere for the solution to this problem and found nothing, and I am gearing up for an event to show off our new software application in 3 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated...anyone know of a plugin or method to do this?
