Same buttons on every layout

I would like to display a set of application buttons on every layout along the left hand side of each layout (without copying them on every layout). Is this possible? If so, how?

You could duplicate the layout, then adjust it to show whatever table you like and add the necessary fields to it.

What if I want to add a new button or make changes to existing buttons. Do I go into every layout and copy the added and changed buttons to each layout?

Yes, that would seem to be the case. If you do a lot with buttons, ie if you want to make it look like they dynamically change, I think you may want to look into another way of doing this, by showing portals in which these buttons appear rather than creating a lot of layouts.

I think that you might have to. I do not recall anyone coming up with a workaround to the fact that FM does not offer a 'master items' facility such as you are looking for...although it should!
