Jorgitopeter Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Hi everyone people, how are you? I don't know if I am posting in the right sub-forum... you'll tell me. What I want to do is quite simple: do a search within the customers, and then print letters to each one of the customers found. So I want to include in the model-letter, some of the personal details of the customers found, and print a letter for each one. Is there any way to do it? Thanks a lot for teaching me peolple, you're the best!
mr_vodka Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 If your letter layout is based off the customer table then it will print only for your found set of customers. When you set it to print [] make sure that it prints for all records found.
Jorgitopeter Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 Hi! Thanks for your quick answer... I have a little question: is there any way to print in microsoft word? I mean: I have a model-letter in Word, and I must insert the name (and some other data) of my customer in the middle of the letter... Is there any way to do it 'Word's way'? The thing is I have names like 'Juan', and names like 'María Albertina Celeste de los Claveles' (pay attention to the different lenghts), so if I do it in FM, and I create a blank space in the letter it will be like this: [color:green]'Hi María Albertina Celeste de los Claveles, this is a congratulation letter...' (great) [color:red]'Hi Juan______________________________, this is a congratulation letter...'. (bad) Do you undestand what I mean? I don't want to have a big white space because of the name's different length. Thanx a lot for helping!!
comment Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I'd suggest you study the two demo files found here: http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/99166
Jorgitopeter Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 You're the best.... I have just look at it, and it seems to be what I was looking for!!! Thanks people... I tried to search something like that, but my search seems wasn't right :. Thanks again.
