Jredeemer14 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I'm switching from a access 97 database to a filemaker 9 database and I know in Microsoft Access you can create queries, which are fairly common in the access world, but I do not know/see how to create a query in Filemaker Pro 9. Can anyone tell me how queries, like in MS access, can be created in filemaker? Thank you
Lee Smith Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 (edited) The two applications don't have a lot in common when it come to what they call things. You will find a lot of basic information in the User Guide (it came in the box with your FileMaker Disk). There is an Online Help, available when FileMaker is open, that also provides makes it easier to find help for the different Functions, and Features. There are some very excellent Resources available, some of them you will see at the top of your browser, i.e. [color:blue](Wiki) FMFAQ | (Articles) FileMakerMagazine.com | (Search) SearchFileMaker.com | (Examples) DatabasePros.com | (Forums) FMForums.com | (News) FMPro.org | (Templates) SeedCode.com | (User Groups) FMPug.com Also, the [color:blue](Search) SearchFileMaker.com can be very useful when searching for answers, as it provides three options for searching. The Search Engine for this Forum, when you use as intended (i.e. check the ? in the Advance Search Box for help), can provide a lot of hits for past topics that can often answer your question without you asking it. Anyway, Welcome to the Forum, Lee Edited May 22, 2008 by Guest
