dtrots
Sorry if this is a duplicate question. Is there an easy way to align objects layout to layout? I basically write down the numbers from object info and re-enter it to make sure it's identical. Is there an way to do this different or automatic. Thanks in advance Dave
LaRetta
I'm not quite sure what you mean, Dave. Do you mean you have several objects and you want their placement the same on every layout? If so, select all the items at once (holding down shift while selecting them), jot down the top and next px sizes in Object info, Ctrl-C to copy the group, go to the new layout and Ctrl-V to paste (it doesn't matter where you paste it). Before doing anything else (and while the handles are still selected as a group) again use object info and change the top two boxes and tab out. The group of objects will jump to the desired position. I've re-positioned alot of objects this way and it is very fast. If you mean you need to size the header, body and footer then no ... other than duplicating a layout, you can't group grab these sizes. dtrots
I do that - just wondering if there was something better than "jotting" Thanks
comment
The T-Squares tool can be handy here. Another option is to place a dummy object at the upper left corner (after pasting, drag the group as far as you can up and to the left).
