June 23, 200817 yr This is a totally new area for me: How can FileMaker open and import from a SQL View Table? Any hints into the right direction would be appreciated. Cheers Greg
June 23, 200817 yr Do you mean using ESS or straight ODBC import? You should be able to reference a view just like you would a table.
July 13, 200817 yr I don't think what you want to do is particularly clear. The PDF Manual included with FileMaker describes the basics of how to do this and for read/import purposes FileMaker cannot tell the difference between a VIEW and a TABLE.
July 22, 200817 yr You can connect to an SQL table using an ODBC driver, such as the one from Actual technologies . It is not all that straight-forward as the documentation is virtually non-existent. But once you have it up and working it seems to work quite well. Anatole
