I have a text field that is presented in a tab control. Once the data is entered, and we move to a different note, the text gets displayed as 1.7201e+10.

If we click on that specific note again, the text displays, but as soon as we move off that note, the numbers replace it.

Any insights on what might be happening? The particular text is only 21 words in length ...

I am guessing it's NOT a text field.

I seen something similar. Does this field us any calculations? If so check to see if the calc is set to result in text not number.

When I go into Manage Database, the field is listed as TEXT in the table. There are no calcs showing in the manage database view, however I haven't checked if some other field is acting on it yet. I'll have to pull a DDR and see if there's something affecting it that way. Thanks.

:P YIKES - digging deeper, I found that someone altered it to NUMBER. Now I just have to figure out why :-) There are several calc fields in a different table that look at the notes field.

You can go the the number format of the field and Select "leave data formatted as entered".
