Producing list of Calc field storage options

Featured Replies

Hi all:

I would like to produce a list of all my Calc fields, showing the metedata settings (Indexing, Do not eval if empty, do not store, globals, etc ...)

The DDR isn't useful for this. Do any of you know of a way to create this report other than manually mushing through the fields one at a time?

Thanks!

You can run the DDR. Save it as xml and don't automatically open it. To keep it small, only select Functions checkbox. Then open it with Excel. It will tell you the settings for the calculations and then some!

AWESOME ! Thank you ! That saves me about 4 hours. :)

Another thing you can do is print the field definitions to pdf, which is good when documenting your system. But I like Excel for some things such as searching quickly for fields marked 'minimal' etc ...

I will also try that. My database has like 63 tables (I actually corruptred my first XML file - I didn't wait long enough).

The XML just opened on my 'trimmed down' file - I just did the main table. WOW. Is that a NICE report.

Thanks again.

What are the commands to print that PDF? (sorry) :) :B
