November 16, 200817 yr Hi Antoinedeb, and welcome to the forum What version of FileMaker, Operating System, and Platform are you using. There many questions that will answered in a way that is best suited for your combination of Profile. You can enter this information in your Profile, and then you won't have to supply it each time you ask a question. Go the the Menu Bar, click on [color:blue]MY PROFILE >> Control Panel >> [color:blue]FileMaker Questions (bottom of the list) Lee
November 16, 200817 yr when i press OK i am getting alot of errors about the parameters... can you Have you ever installed a custom function before? It's pretty simple, once you get it down. Are you getting stuck at the Custom Function dialog or the field definition? Edited November 17, 200817 yr by Guest

November 17, 200817 yr Author Hi All and thanks for the quick response In fact it is the first time installing a custom function and the error i am getting is in the Custom Function dialog. I am using FM9Pro advanced on a XP thanks Antoine
November 17, 200817 yr When creating a custom function, there are four text boxes. The first is for the name of the function. The second is where you enter parameters, the third where the added parameters are shown. The fourth box is for the calculation text. I'm guessing you're not adding the parameters correctly (or at all).
November 17, 200817 yr Author Hi DJ. that is very possible or perhaps you are 100% correct. how can i learn to do it right? thanks Antoine
November 17, 200817 yr Antoine, I attached a file in my previous post, so that may compare your file to how the Custom Function [color:blue] NumberInWords is entered, and you can then compare that to what you have entered. BTW, I didn't see the need for the two parameters Currency; DecimalCurr, but then the point was to show you how to enter these things for this Custom Function into the Custom Function New, Edit Box. HTH Lee
