milky Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Hi all, I know it's as obvious as the nose on my face but what script item do you use when you want a user to go to a particular layout and then go to the first tab position. Cheers all. Milton.
aldipalo Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 In FM 9 you name the Tab and then use go to Object() script set. In FM 7 that is not available. I believe what they would do (Never having used 7) is set a global field on top of the Tab and then do a Go To Field(). hth
LaRetta Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Hey, Milton, do you mean tab or tab panel? I thought you meant regular tab order (moving through fields). In case this is what you meant then the answer is adding a Go To Field[] script step immediately after the Go To Layout[] step. If you create a new record, cursor will automatically jump to first in tab order but simply changing layouts will not so you need to specify the field you want Users to start in. LaRetta :wink2:
comment Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 The Go to Next Field step will go the first field in the tab order - if no other field is selected.
