Possible?

Is it possible to add an item to a custom menu that does nothing more than activate a script? Thus far I've not been successful.

What I'd like to do is supply the end user with a keyboard shortcut for on-screen buttons, and building a custom menu making script calls seemed to be the way to do it.

See the attachment for screenshots of my approach. The menu turns up but all items are greyed out. This is in FMP9.

I've posted this issue to both the Custom Menus and the Security forum (since when something is greyed out it's likely a privileges issue). My posting has received 47 looks over the past few days but no responses.

Is what I'm attempting possible in FMP9?

Responses much appreciated. med_1231868461-Privileges___Custom_Menu.

Please do not double post.

Perhaps you should attach a clone of your file

Actually, it seems like a triple post from here.

Sandy, if you do not understand or like advice given on the first post, please respond there. I'm quite tempted to delete these other posts (and I just may anyway). Please anyone responding, post back on the link I've provided since it is the ONLY post which had a (possible) answer on it.

The problem was solved by a colleague. Yes, it has to do with Privileges. In the lower right segment of the Privileges panel is the Menus privileges popup, which defaults to "minimum," (whatever that means, have yet to find its criteria). However if you reset it to "all," then the Custom Menu commands do work.

Much appreciated.
