Drew Sanderson Posted January 27, 2009 Share Posted January 27, 2009 Is it possible to use a three machine deployment with: Machine 1 running 10.4.11 & FMSA 10 for FM Machine 2 running 10.5 or 10.4 & FMSA 10 for WPE Machine 3 running linux with apache? For the Web Server either IIS on Windows or Apache on Macintosh. I do not believe Apache on Linux will work. It certainly is not supported. Baloo Posted January 27, 2009 Share Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) Depends on what you want to do with machine 3 The PHP API just sends a cURL request to FMserver's XML feed so if you want to use machine 3 to access Filemakers XML and XSLT feeds (via the API or your own request) then the answer is yes. Edited to add: I'm assuming Machine 1 and/or 2 would also be running apache and serving the XML/XSLT feeds from the Filemaker Databases, and that what you are most likely asking is can you connect it it with a preexisting LAMP server.
