Anyone in Wisconsin?

Featured Replies

My co-workers and I are wondering how many other FM Developers there are hanging out in Wisconsin? We three are located in Appleton and are looking for other FM developers to meet up with, share ideas and resources.

There has to be more than us!!

FileMaker Addicts (and we'll even admit it!)

Contact FM Pug! They can provide you with other developers in your area as well. And I'm tickled that you are FM Addicts. So are most of us here (but CERTAINLY I am one)!

Welcome! :laugh2:

Thanks for the reply, LaRetta! We looked at the FMPug site but didn't see any groups existing in Wisconsin. We weren't sure if they would let us know if there are any members in Wisconsin. We'll definitely look into that! We aren't opposed to starting an FMPug group as long as there is interest.

FM Pug has a forum here as well (Users Groups) and they will answer your questions. Andy designed FM Pug to help us all and it does just that! Maybe you will want to start a chapter there and draw all the local people together! It's being done all over the country WORLD, thanks to FM Pug!!

[color:purple]I happen to be in Wisconsin at times and would be interested in anything going on to do with FileMaker. Let me know if you hear of anything.

clz, Pam, seriously - contact andy[at]FMPug.com.

If you're wondering who around you uses FileMaker, your best bet is to start a group yourself, promote it and see who comes out to the meetings. Andy can help you with tips and pointers, and FMPug comes with some great group management tools - like mailing list management, RSVPs, etc.

At a bare minimum all you need is a room, email and a little sweat equity. Some groups hold their meetings in offices, some in bars, basically anything will work. Starter topics can be as simple as "roundtable" discussions.

Do it! It's tremendous fun.

I head up a non-profit organization in NE Wisconsin and have put together some flat files over the years in FMKR, but now need some help at developing an agency wide relational data base. I'm looking for a developer to contract with. Proximity to our agency, I believe helps, in my opinion. Let me know if there is any further interest in this kind of project, oblique as the opening description is.
