To stop and start FM server Service is doing problem on some config.

How about to stop just databases on Server and start them again?

In any case, uninstall your FM Server before you are installing FM server on another location.

Stupid question, but, are your db files in the FM Server directory? If not you will have to launch them individually.

JerrySalem,

You are on the right track with your suspicion - FMS is looking in the original install directory, i.e., c:program filesfilemakerfilemaker server 5[etc.] and since it's not there, the files are not automatically opened when the service is started.

A way around it would be to create some "open" files that open the files on the D drive and place those in the default folder on the C drive.

the solution is in a folder that is in the filemaker server folder (as the manual recomends). This is the same setup that I use at my shop.
