Is Layouts>Layout Setup>Save Record Changes Automatically checked?

OK, I have checked and yes the layout set-up has save automatically checked. It is still asking for permission to save the record before moving to the next record. What's next? This really needs to be supressed.

Is this a file you created, or one that was created by someone else?

Check your [color:red]Preferences >> [color:blue]Layout >> Automatically Save Layout Changes.

I saved out a clone copy. Created a couple of new records, and it worked fine. (btw, I don't have the auto save layout set) So I exited, saved another copy of the primary file, then came back in. It seems to work now, no more notice to save. I don't know what was up, but it seems to have fixed itself. Thanks.
