Hi Guys wondering if anyone else has been experiencing crashing with 10.6?

I have SuperContainer 2.62 running on FMSA 10.0.1.64 on OS X Server 10.5.7 and locally OS X 10.6 and i can't load either the applet or non-applet viewer without FMPA 9 & 10 crashing with following error;

Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)

Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

Crashed Thread: 27

Application Specific Information:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'JavaNativeException', reason: 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/plugin/javascript/webkit/JSObject'

------------

I would be fantasicaly grateful if someone can layout this issue for me (lots more error info available if needed).

Cheers

Robin

Update: I tell a lie, different errors between server and local.

Same problem here - FMS 10, on 10.58.

No plugins used.

Any user using Snow Leopard as client with Filemaker Pro 10.3 crashes, completely unusable. Other clients fine.

If accessed via IWP from Snow Leopard, also fine - just from within Filemaker client.

Think I've narrowed down variables to just Snow Leopard.

Any insight appreciated!

And error codes look similar:

Yet another observation: three Macbook Pros, all with Snow Leopard, all with Filemaker 10.3

Two have the problem, one doesn't.

One that doesn't was a "clean" install of 10.6; the other two were upgrade and preserve users and settings.

Leads to obvious route for a test, but don't have time at the moment.

It looks like you guys do have old plugins installed, most likely in your auto-update path in your user folder, which is why you may have missed it.

The error message:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'JavaNativeException', reason: 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/plugin/javascript/webkit/JSObject'

means that there is an old plugin installed somewhere.

  • 6 months later...

Hello,

I have been experiencing FileMaker crashes recently (3 today) and I am running Snow Leopard (10.6), FileMaker 10.0v3 Advanced, SuperContainer 2.73. MacBook Pro 17" 2.8 Intel Core two Duo w/ 4 GB Ram.

The error I am getting is:

Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)

Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

Crashed Thread: 31

Application Specific Information:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'JavaNativeException', reason: 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/plugin/javascript/webkit/JSObject'

I also have older Plug-Ins which I will remove and retry. Also, I have been running "Evernote" and Dropbox recently and this seems to have cropped up since then.

I'll report back.

Thanks

Later that same day....

Well, I have removed

FMTouch_Sync v 1.8,

Web.fm 10.0v1 and

xDBC.fmplugin 10.0.1x1

I have also quit out of:

Dropbox

Evernote

Thing have been very stable so far.

At some point I will put things back one at a time.

Thanks for the tip!

A

Make sure that you have both of the plugins fully updated, and that you do not have multiple copies in your extensions and autoupdate directory. The scriptmaster and SuperConatiner plugins are fully compatible.
