I have modified the default PO database layout to fit my needs....however I have a quirk that I can't figure out.

When I click "Print Purchase Order" it brings up a preview of the purchase order as it should, but it seems to put each product entered in the PO on it's own page.

Now, when I click "Email Purchase Order" it all shows up perfectly and all items on the PO are on one page.

How can I get the print script to correctly display the items on one page?

Thank you for your help :

Edit: By the way, I have not touched any script at all when modifying this layout. So, if you were to create a new database and pull the "Product Order" layout you will have exactly the problem I have (I would venture to think, anyhow).

I think there's been a misunderstanding...

Basically when I click "Email Purchase Order" this is what shows:

When I click "Print Purchase Order" this is what shows:

This is bad, because I need all my items showing on one invoice, rather than one item per invoice...

on the print version it looks like you did not select

"Print all Records"

try again with maybe put a pause in the script for page set up.

Well, I started a new file using their template, and I saw that only one row of the PO previewed if I had the PO printout set to View as Form (which is how it ships--and which is wrong). Changing it to View as List produced the correct preview. It really didn't have anything to do with printing Current Record or Recs being Browsed.

Boy, those templates are the worse example of FM.

I see what you mean now. Unfortunately that didn't work for me :

I am not good at scripting whatsoever (aka, never done it in FMP) ......how would I add a pause like that?

What pause? I didn't change the scripts at all. Just use the Layout popup menu in the Status Area to switch to the Purchase Order layout.

Perhaps you're answering Robert..?

i see you are using an advanced version of FM. At the top of the page go to "tools" debug scripts, then run a script and you can see the script running you can also step forward and backwards.

there is also a free template that was rewritten by others to include most of the starter solutions google for "fm starting point"

there are also many scripts in this file to help you get started.

Hi Garrett, and Welcome to the Forum.

I'm not used to clicking "reply" and have it actually reply to one person

And that is how it works here. Only, be sure you use the [color:red]Reply Button that appears in the Body part of the Post you are replying to.
