Greg O'Connor Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Greetings. Is there a script or method to upload database into FMS 9/10 and open it automatically instead manually using the FMS Admin Console? Any hints/tips and help would be appreciated.
IdealData Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 FM Server also supports a small set of command line instructions - basically UNIX commands with parameters. As such you could make a shell script to automate the process. Open the FM Admin console and get the help (?) system up. Then search for command line to show the command available. Watch out for file permissions.
Terrible Toll Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 You can open and close files, but there doesn't appear to be a shell command for "upload database".

No, that's a principal purpose of the Console. Plus there are security implications to what you suggest as well as server misconfiguration issues. Steven
