NathanAshton Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 The title says it all....please bear with me as this could be complicated. As part of a manifest system I have developed, I need to know how many passengers departing each location upon a route. For example Route: A - B - C - D - E Passengers can board at any location, and hop off at any location. My goal is to choose a location, and know how many pax on board departing based upon when they boarded and when they are getting off.. For example, departing C could include pax who are: A-D , B-E, C-D etc As you can see on a longer route there could be quite a few possibilites. I also need to ability to rearrange the route. So.....and ideas anyone?
Peter (duksis3) Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Task is very typical for scheduling. Look in www.hierarchy.lv - under products must be TimeTable. Instead of time use route points. One "column" must be IN, next OUT and so on. Add calculation fields in each record to summarize IN-OUT and get passenger count in each sub-route (C-E for example) You can make as many points and destinations you want.
NathanAshton Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 Thanks for the reply. I had a look but that doesnt seem to help me. Sometimes I have an idea on how to do this, but I write it down and it does my head in any time. I'd appreciate any more specific advice. Cheers
