FileMaker Crashes when closing layout

Featured Replies

Everytime I close my database on my inventory layout it crashes filemkaer completely closing all my other databases. This layout has alot of fields and I dont know if there is a limit as to how many fields you can have in a layout?

Or any ideas of what else causes filemaker to crash from closing a certain layout?

Do you have any pasted graphics or import images on that layout? How many different fonts?

Could be a corruption on one of these objects.

I had a case where on only on one user's machine would crash due to a logo on a layout, but no other users computer would be affected - only surfaced when she would try to print. So on that layout I deleted JUST the logo and then replaced the image, worked fine after that.

no no image or graphics on it.

I do have alot of different fonts but I'll change them all to one to see if that helps.

I also have 3 supercontainer fields on there..and a portal field.

It's just hard to track down the issue because I do have so many things on this layout.

Not really that hard.

Take off half the items, and test. If it fails again then take off half of those, otherwise use the other half. And so on..
