Related Table Woes In FM10

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have recently started using FM10 after using FM6 for about the last year. I had a FM6 database that related to three other FM6 databases and the relationships worked fine. I have converted this to FM10 and incorporated all previous databases as tables and set up the appropriate relationships (or so I think ;-))

Rather than go into great detail about what isn't working and why, would someone be kind enough to allow me to email the database to them to take a quick look? I'm sure I'm missing something quite small and it's driving me mad!

It's basically an exam database that draws questions from one table and candidate details from another and creates records of incorrect and correct answers in another table. The problem lies when records are created with correct and incorrect answers, I have some fields in that table set to auto-enter data but the data doesn't enter.

Thanks in advance.

Why not just attach it here to a Reply. That way you can have the benefit of many eyes looking at the relationships, File References, etc.

Thanks for the advice Lee, makes perfect sense.

Ouch ouch. 885 fields; Q001, Q002, etc. Time for redesign as a relational database.
