How can i change this error massage "this action cannot be performed because this field is not modifiable"

I think we need a little more information about your setup.

Is this a single user with a field that you have locked.

Are the records being served,

If this is being done with a script, you can trap for the error of 201 "Field cannot be modified" and "Show Custom Dialog" message, and provide for alternative steps.

i have a calculation filed the is a user trays to edit it i what to give he a error code in hebrew .

If you do not allow the field to be entered (Format > Field/Control > Behavior…), then they won't be trying to edit it - and no error message will be needed.

i know that the reason it is editable the i can drag and drop to a line in a portal .
