in FM 11 I have a simple portal with a portal filter. Example: Clients and Orders.

Depending on the value in 3 global fields, only subsets of all available Orders are shown in the portal for a client.

Imagine a client has 12 Orders listed. I apply my portal filter to only show the ones from this year for example. And now only three Orders are shown in the portal.

Question: Now I want to switch to the layout/table of orders and only show those three and not the 12. In other words I want to do a show related records with THE PORTAL FILTER considered. Possible? Or can anyone suggest a reliable technique for this?

Switching layouts and refinding all the stuff isnt an option for me as the filter can be more complex than stated in my example..

Yes - if GTRR is called while a portal row is active. IOW, place the button in the filtered portal.
