Quicktime Frame Capture

A client of mine has been using scriptmaster with an iSight camera for product shots. Since updating to the latest version of Java, Filemaker crashes when they try to capture an image. FileMaker 10, OS X 10.6.3, Java SE6 1.6.0_20.

Anyone know if reverting to an earlier version of Java solve this problem?

I haven't been able to get FileMaker to crash because of this, but I have had FileMaker freeze while running this script. We're now looking into what is causing this issue.

Thanks,

My client is telling me it crashed but he may not be using the word accurately. To him, a freeze and a crash are probably the same thing. I will check to see if he actually gets a crash message and try to get a look at his log files. If I can get them I'll forward them to you.

Hi again. I've waited a long time for this Quicktime bug to be fixed. I was hoping the version 4 upgrade would help but still no joy. The capture still doesn't work using an iSight camera. FileMaker does not freeze up or crash but it stalls for a while and then displays "Error" in the container field. Any news on this...

I have not been able to get the Quicktime frame capture module running in the most recent version of ScriptMaster. I've had it on my to-do list for a while to try to figure out why; if I can't get it working we will remove that module.
