FMReader Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I have Table 3 that aggregates information from two other tables. I have a repeating field. (No, I don't want to turn it into Table 4; it will never have more than 15 rows and the only values that are entered are integers 1 through 20. It would be silly to create Table 4 for such predictable, constrained data.) I have Portal rows From Table 1 and Table 2. I'm bringing in a variety of items and their characteristics. This all works fine. One of the pieces of data is a number. I want to multiply the number in Table 3 repeating field n with the corresponding row number n from the portal data from Table 1 and store this in a Table 3 calculation field. I've tried various ways with GetRepetition and other functions, but either I have the syntax wrong or it's the wrong way. The best result is a correct value in row 1 and the rest zero. It should be relatively simple. I don't want brute force Case 1, 2, 3...15. How do you designate a field repetition without specifying the row so that all rows are calculated? Thanks.
comment Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Try: YourRepeatingField * GetNthRecord ( Extend ( Table1::Value ) ; Get (CalculationRepetitionNumber) )
