Is there a script for a back button that takes you back to the layout you were previously looking at?

For now I'm using a button with a "go to layout" script attached but sometimes users can access the same layout from different locations and it'd be nice to have a back button to go back to where they were.

Here is a file by John Mark Osborne that demonstrates this too.
