"Can't update the disk..." Error!!!

Hi!

I'm new to this forum... Hopefully someone can offer me some insight with a problem that I'm having.

I have FileMaker 4 Web Companion running on my web server. The site runs WebSTAR 4.2 on port 80 and FileMaker on 591.

I used to have the two applications on different machines, but because of a hardware problem I have had to load both on the same G3.

Anyway, I'm having problems with crashing. When I try to quit Filemaker I get an error that says "FileMaker is unable to close xxxxx.fp3. The disk that this databse is on cannot be updated."

Any ideas?

As a first step I'd be making sure that the FileMaker Pro and WebStar programs had all the current bug-fixes and patches installed. FMP 4 id v3, I dunno anything about WebStar.

Ditto for the server's oprating system. Check with Apple for updates to the G3's firmware as well. This stuff is usually readily available on the web.
