Newbies beverson Posted December 6, 2000 Newbies Posted December 6, 2000 I have a FileMaker Pro database which I did not create that I need to export to a .csv file for insertion into MySQL and creation of a web interface. I'm having two problems. First, I can't seem to get FMP 4.1 for Windows to export the field names. This is not a huge deal as we can probably work around it (is it okay if I just open the csv in Excel and add them in there?), but it would be nice for them to export intact. Secondly, and much more problematically, when I export the data, all the defined fields export fine, but the value lists attached to each record do not export at all. Our database is basically worthless without the values from these value lists included in their respective records. I'm very new to this software, so I could be overlooking something quite obvious (I feel as though that's probably the case). Either way, I'm pulling my hair out here because it doesn't seem like it should be this difficult. Help! Thanks.
Vaughan Posted December 6, 2000 Posted December 6, 2000 I know of no way to export value lists from FileMaker Pro. If you are builkding a web interface, why not try Web Companion?
